Origin: Eastern Mediterranean and Asia Minor
Green Kale is a wild cabbage that was combined together with long-curled leafy vegetables before a new subspecies was established. It has a fresh, plain flavor similar to other members in the brassica family, and owing to its plentiful nutritional content it is recognized as a superfood in many parts of the world.
