Green Shiso is a microgreen prized for its aromatic, tender, and crunchy with an earthy, balanced flavor, including an equal amount of sweet and spice. It is also well regarded as a herb suitable for medicinal tea, claimed to relieve inflammation and common cold-related symptoms such as cough and chest congestion. P. frutescens belongs to the Lamiaceae family. Green Shiso leaves are often referred to as ohba (大葉), which means 'large leaf.'
Color and texture: Micro Green Shiso has slender and light green stems with bright green leaves that are smooth, flat, and large, with a main, prominent vein bifurcating into a few tiny veins around the top.
