Origin: Mediterranean basin and Near East; southwestern Asia, possibly northwestern India, Pakistan.


Pea shoot is a herbaceous annual plant with crunchy, quite sweet, very raw, just like pea flavor. Traditionally pea shoots were used in Asian cuisines.

Color and texture: A distinctive touch is provided by the tendrils while the succulent long stem finishes in a ferny layer.

Nutritional information: Pea shoots microgreens, just like their mature counterparts, are flourishing in vitamins A, B, C, E, and K, folic acid, calcium, iron, fiber, and beta-carotene.
